About this work

Two standing male figures in full ceremonial robes are drawn in pencil and washed with muted watercolor, one in a dark green coat and the other in a blue coat, both with red and white trimmed mantles. The loose, quick strokes and pale wash backgrounds suggest a preparatory study.
