About this work
This drawing combines pen, ink and grey wash to show two resting young deer, one in the foreground and one seated behind it, with faint pencil studies of legs and a head at the upper left. The name 'Pallah' is inscribed in the lower right, indicating the animal depicted. Samuel Daniell made this study in 1802.
