About this work
This 1927 printed advertisement by Kurt Schwitters promotes J. C. Herhold, a specialist shop for glass, porcelain and stoneware, with a note that the firm has existed since 1844 and specializes in hotel furnishings. Large stylized letters J, C and H overlay a dense background of repeated typewritten words, and the shop's Hannover address on Schillerstrasse appears at the bottom.
