A painted river landscape shows a robed figure seated on rocks at the edge of a stream, holding a fishing rod beneath a canopy of large trees. A small stone cottage with an open doorway stands at left, and a rocky cliff rises in the background. The work is attributed to Károly Markó, and the inscription on the lower left reads "Markó" with a date of 1864.
