About this work
A pen and grey wash drawing shows a man in right-facing profile, half length, with a long nose, a tied wig with curled side rolls, and a heavy ruffled cravat at the neck. The rapid, looping ink strokes and washes give the figure an exaggerated, caricatured quality, and the artist's signature appears in the lower right.
