About this work

A pencil drawing on pale laid paper shows a seated man in a loose jacket and breeches resting on a stool beside a small glass bottle, while a standing man in a long coat and tricorn-style hat leans on a post. Sketched figures and furniture fill the background, suggesting a studio or interior study.
