About this work
A watercolor and pen drawing shows three women in traditional regional dress, one seated with a child on a rock and two standing near a stone fountain beneath a stone arch, one holding a jug and another filling a vessel. The work is attributed to Bartolomeo Pinelli and dated 1808, and its title identifies the figures as costumes of Ciociare from the Papal States taking water.
