About this work
This engraved print shows an elderly bearded man holding a goblet, flanked by two women in an dimly lit interior lit by a candle, with a jug and fruit on a tray at right. The composition follows the Lot and His Daughters subject after Gerard van Honthorst, engraved by Johann Gotthard Müller in 1782. An inscription with a dedication to a count and chamberlain appears in the lower margin.
