A statue stands on a pedestal in front of the church, while townspeople in nineteenth-century dress stroll across the open paving, and a horse and rider and a handcart appear at the right. The inscription at lower left reads Stuttgart, a detail consistent with the Stiftskirche Stuttgart named in the title.
