About this work
A sepia-toned printed sheet of photographs documents the American Library Association's Library War Service, dated 1918. Scenes include men reading and working at tables in camp libraries, a workroom with shelves of books and piles of unpacked magazines, a man filling a bookcase, and a long covered reading porch with seated figures. The title and framing ornaments with the ALA emblem and the phrase Library War Service appear at the bottom of the sheet.
