About this work

This 1917 poster by an anonymous 20th century artist uses a triptych layout to promote war bond purchases. The central panel shows three helmeted soldiers with fixed bayonets behind a trench parapet beneath a swirling cloud, while side panels depict a medic carrying a wounded man on a stretcher and a soldier bandaging a comrade beside scattered rifles and a first aid kit.
