About this work
A 1910 advertising poster titled 'En fil ramie. Manchon La Couronne' by an anonymous 20th century artist shows a large black rooster crowing in front of a rising sun with radiating rays. A crown emblem and the words 'Marque Déposée' appear at left, and a gas mantle is depicted in the upper left corner beneath the French slogan promoting the product.
