About this work
A lithographic poster for a 1918 exhibition at Galerie Brunner, 11 rue Royale, shows a dim industrial foundry with a large suspended molten-metal ladle pouring sparks and glowing metal. Workers in period clothing move about the floor among heavy cylindrical forms, while smoke rises through the rafters. The printed text announces the war industries exhibition organised by l'Oeuvre for the assistance to dépôts d'éclopés, with entry prices and dates.
